The European producers of DINP have formed a consortium for the purposes of sharing relevant research data/information and preparing the registration dossier for REACH.
The consortium will be managed by ReachCentrum, an independent service unit established by Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council. The Consortium agreement was signed by the four main producers of DINP in Europe (BASF, Evonik-Oxeno, ExxonMobil and Polynt) on September 29, 2008.
It is expected that the legal requirements for the formation of the consortium
will be completed in October 2008 and that an initial meeting will be held shortly afterwards.
